I was sick a week ago. I ate a lot of soup. And although I was in no mood to cook, I know red meat is high in iron and hence good for me when I have a cold. So I bought a pound of roast beef at the local bagel store which lasted for 4 sandwiches or so.
And that pound cost me $10.
TEN DOLLARS?! YEAH?!
Granted, I haven’t bought cold cuts by weight in forever so I can’t recall how much it was but $10 for a pound sure seems like a lot. They have Boar’s Head brand, I know that’s on the high end of cold cut brands. Maybe that had something to do with it.
Eesh. Everything’s going up.
