So I need to manage my mood quite often. My thrown way of being tends to be negative. That’s just how I’ve been for a long time. But lately I’ve found practices that help me stay positive: prayer, affirmations, visualizing, meditation, exercise, gratitude.
One also? Positive music. I got my favorites, what are some of yours, songs that put you in a good mood, have a good message or are just fun?

I have to go with “Dancing in the Moonlight” by King Harvest and “Somewhere Down the Crazy River” by Robbie Robertson.

This is my go to song at the moment for cheering up. It’s a great tune and very much a “perspective” song.
But I love Ska music to put me in a happy mood. Almost anything by Reel Big Fish or Bad Manners or The Porkers gets me instantly happy.

Before now, I had my comfort songs but these songs are the songs I have shared with that special someone but it’s over now so… I guess I’m gon have to re-select my comfort songs now but in the meantime, Nigerian new pop-music isn’t doing badly to fill the gap for me.

Feel good music for me is usually anything rock, punk, or hard rock… well not absolutely anything but it is my favorite genre if I had to choose. I like listening to songs full of energy and crazy empowerment to expelled the negative and be left with comfortable contentedness, like “Do the Evolution” by Pearl Jam or “Do it with a Rockstar” by Amanda Palmer. But if it’s not your thing then I suggest “Why So Serious” by Shinee, “Diamond Dogs” by David Bowie, “Gold on the Ceiling” by Black Keys, “Fascination” by LA Roux, “Booth Swing” by Parov Stelar, “Black and Gold” and/or “Hey Mama” and “Pump It” by Black Eyed Peas.”Pump It” is so much fun.
