So my car was parked on the street with the driver’s side closest to the curb. Been there for a week since I stayed local this weekend.
Today around 3pm I finished a project for an interview so walked to take a break, drive around, clear my head. I went to my car and drove away. Luckily, street driving isn’t fast, and luckily I hit traffic as soon as I hit the parkway.
Why luckily?
Because it gave me a chance to notice a gray she’ll looking thing, poised atop my windshield on the passenger side.
I pulled over. It was the SHELL THAT GOES ON THE OUTSIDE OF MY PASSENGER’S SIDE MIRROR!!!!
AND IT’S ALL SCRAPED UP!!!!!
Oh boy. I got out of my car, walked around and WHOA
Yep. Passenger side mirror is indeed shell-less.
And oh yeah…THERE ARE SCRAPES ALONG MY DOORS AND THE QUARTERPANEL!!!!
Sonuvabitch!!!
MOTHER
FUCKER
!!!!!
The irony is not lost on me. In December I scraped my car similarly to a lesser extent. Here’s the before and after pic from that time:
This time I have to go through insurance. (Sigh) Well, these are the risks of not having a driveway of my own.

Sorry to see this, dude. The days of neighbor honesty are over. When / if someone hit or bumped your car, they would leave a note. Totally sucks…. Hoping the insurance company won’t screw you.

That blows! I’ve been hit and run into several times. People are just ignorant! The thing that really gets me, is I always park far away, and am always careful of other cars.

Ugh…that sucks. People suck. I can’t imagine doing that to someone’s car and driving away.

I hate people that are willing to hit and leave. Shows no ethical or moral fiber. Totally pisses me off when that happens!
