Eddie Money Coincidence

I was driving today with the NYC Classic Rock station on. And they played Eddie Money’s hit from the 80’s Take Me Home Tonight, which features Ronnie Spector singing lyrics from her 60’s hit with the Ronetes Be My Baby. He actually sings an intro “just like Ronnie says” then she comes in with “be my little baby.”

And yes, I made have been singing along in the car. I wanted to see if I could pull it off at karaoke. Sue me. I thought about how atypical it is for Eddie to use another musician like he did,  singing a bit of another song.

I get home and cruise Facebook and a friend posted a quiz from a rock station: Name songs whose lyrics name other musical artists.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?! Guess which song I said… I HAD JUST HEARD THE SONG NOT A HALF HOUR PRIOR.

COIIINCIDEEEEEENCE!!!!!!
